A word processor for Windows and Mac with enhanced features for writers and researchers from Nota Bene Associates, Inc., Hastings on Hudson, NY. Originally developed in 1983 for DOS by Dragonfly Software, Nota Bene Workstation includes the word processor, Ibidem bibliographic database, IbidPlus general-purpose database and Orbis text retrieval system.

Orbis+, Lingua and Archiva
Additional modules provide more Orbis formats with Orbis+, foreign alphabets with Lingua (Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic, etc.) and Archiva for searching university and research libraries. An Archiva option provides conversion utilities.

Nota Bene is based on the XyWrite word processing engine, which years ago was the popular editing program at The New York Times and all major newspaper organizations in the U.S. See XyWrite.
