Definition: pixilation


(1) A misspelling of pixelation. See pixelated.

(2) A stop motion technique in which people or objects are photographed at different intervals as they move. Each video frame appears connected in purpose, but disconnected in time, from the previous one. Pixelation dates back to films made in the early 1900s. See also pixelation.
