A CDE Definition
An earlier line of RISC-based microprocessors from AMD that were widely used in laser printers from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. The floating point unit (FPU) and other components of the "29K" CPUs were deployed in AMD's subsequent K5 line. See K5.
An earlier Pentium-class CPU chip from AMD. Introduced in 1994, K5 chips were available in models that rivaled a 166 MHz Pentium chip. See K6.
