Amazon Dash

Virtual or physical buttons from Amazon that initiate an order to Amazon.com. Introduced in 2015 as part of the Amazon Prime membership and designed to make replenishing common household items easier, Dash buttons are programmed by the user to order a product. A number of staples including soap, paper products, diapers and soft drinks were selected for the initial service.

The Dash Replenishment Service (DRS)
Dash buttons let vendors create easy product reordering for their customers. See Amazon Echo and AmazonFresh.

Press, Click or Tap the Dash Button
A physical button (top) can be placed on or near an appliance; however, users must confirm orders to keep children from making purchases. Virtual buttons (bottom) are added to a user's Amazon Web page or mobile app. (Images courtesy of Amazon.com.)
