A CDE Definition
EMR
(1) (ElectroMagnetic Radiation) The emanation of energy from everything in the universe. Although the EMR from electrical and electronic devices is typically measured for practical, every-day situations, every object, including humans, emanates energy. Much of it is at levels our equipment is not sensitive enough to detect. See spectrum. See also magnetoresistance.
(2) (Electronic Medical Record) The former term for an electronic health record. See EHR.
