FastDisk

An earlier Windows 3.1 driver that speeded up disk access by running in 32-bit mode, bypassing DOS and the BIOS and communicating directly with the disk controller. See WinDisk.



WinDisk

An earlier driver from Future Domain Corporation (later acquired by Adaptec) that converted Windows 3.1 FastDisk accesses into the SCSI CAM standard supported on its SCSI host adapters.
