Definition: Glide Effortless

A collection of Web-based services from TransMedia Corporation, New York for sharing files and conferencing. Introduced in 2005, free and paid services enable users to share photos, music and videos as well as audio and videoconference with others. All functions are integrated and run from the Web browser.

Glide Effortless includes a variety of features that make sharing easier. For example, MailShare enables emails to be sent with links to files that will not clog up a recipient's mailbox. The links include rights management that specify whether a file can only be viewed or downloaded. LiveShare enables videoconferencing that can show images and videos at the same time.
