LIMDOW
(Light Intensity Modulation Direct OverWrite) An enhancement of the magneto-optic technology that improved writing speed by allowing a bit to be written in one pass instead of two. The LIMDOW media was more costly than standard non-direct overwrite MO media. Many MO drives supported both types. See direct overwrite and magneto-optic disk.
