National Cristina Foundation
(National Cristina Foundation, Greenwich, CT, www.cristina.org) A not-for-profit public charity that seeks donations of used or excess computers. Founded in 1984 by Yvette Marrin and Bruce McMahan, it was named in honor of McMahan's daughter, Cristina, who has cerebral palsy.
Donations are directed at no charge to organizations and public agencies that have programs that train people with disabilities, students at risk of failing and economically disadvantaged persons in order to lead more productive and independent lives. The Foundation has helped millions of people in the U.S. and abroad. Equipment donations may be made through the online donor form at www.cristina.org. See e-cycling.
