NetWare 5

A major upgrade to NetWare in 1998. It added IP and Java support, Web server, virtual memory, greater memory protection for NLMs, Y2K compliance, a 64-bit file system (NSS) that coexisted with the standard file system and an enhanced NetWare Directory Service (NDS). It also included digital certificate and encryption support and came with a 5-user license of Oracle8. The NetWare 5 kernel was fully SMP based (see MPK). See NetWare 6 and NetWare.
