A CDE Definition
A wireless technology that allows devices to exchange data when they are within a couple centimeters of each other or when they touch. For example, placing a digital camera onto a laptop automatically transfers the last pictures taken. Developed by Sony and governed by the TransferJet Consortium, founded in 2008, the maximum data transfer rate is 375 Mbps. For more information, visit www.transferjet.org.
