Win Typing special characters

To insert a special character into your document that is not on the keyboard, use the Character Map utility. To launch Character Map, select Run from the Start menu, type in charmap and click OK.

Character Map displays the selected font at the top of the window and all its characters below. Click the symbol you want and click Select to stage it in the box below. To transfer the staged symbol to the clipboard, click Copy. In your document, move the cursor to the location for the symbol, and select Paste from the Edit menu.

Inserting a Copyright
Clicking the © and pressing Select stages the symbol for copying to the clipboard.
