Hardware interfaces that accept non-digital signals. For decades, all the plugs and sockets on traditional audio and video equipment connected analog lines. In addition, the common high-density DB-15 socket on a monitor is analog (see VGA). Contrast with digital input.

In the illustration below, except for HDMI and DVI, the plugs and sockets are used for analog interfaces. BNC connectors have been used for digital signals in the past.
