data control clerk
A person who schedules jobs for the computer and manages the distribution of reports and other output. Data control clerks may be involved in coding activities, calculating and checking batch totals and related clerical tasks. See data control department.
data control department
The function responsible for collecting data for input into a computer's batch processing operations as well as the dissemination of the finished reports. The data entry department may be under the jurisdiction of the data control department, or vice versa. See data control clerk.
