A person responsible for developing and maintaining e-commerce applications for a company's public website. Experience in database and Web server components (servlets, CORBA, EJB, etc.) is often required. See Internet engineer.



Internet engineer

A person responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the public website, intranet and associated LANs and WANs. May be involved in developing transaction-based applications for e-commerce. See e-commerce engineer.
