A CDE Definition
A unit of energy in the CGS system. It is equal to .0000001 joule in the MKS system. See CGS system.
(Centimeter-Gram-Second system) A metric system of measurement that uses the centimeter, gram and second for length, mass and time. The units of force and work are the "dyne" and "erg." Contrast with MKS system.
