integrated amplifier

A combination preamp/amplifier, typically for two-channel stereo. The preamp provides the input switching and phonograph equalization, and the amplifier boosts the signals to the speakers. Integrated amplifiers are widely used to listen to music by audiophiles, although they may opt for a separate preamp and amp. Every self-contained music system with CD player and speakers, no matter how large or small, also has an integrated amp built in. See preamp and music system.

High-End Hybrid Integrated Amp
