A CDE Definition
A denial of service attack in which fragmented packets are forged so that they overlap each other when the receiving host tries to reassemble them. A teardrop attack usually causes a kernel panic in the target host. See kernel panic.
A failure in the operating system kernel that causes the OS to abend (crash). See kernel.
