Narrow AI is artificial intelligence applied to a single task such as a virtual assistant or self-driving car. Also called "weak AI," a tech support chatbot designed to help a website visitor with problems concerning the site's product is another example. See AGI.
A Narrow AI Example
This map was made by the Roborock S7 Max V robotic vacuum cleaner. It uses machine vision to automatically map the user's home by just letting it roam. The red line is a "virtual wall" added by the homeowner at the opening to a step-down. Increasingly, AI functions are added to all variety of consumer and business products.
